The American Legion, District 20 Commander, Michael Shaffer and Vice Commander Frank Bray, have announced the “Show ‘em We Care Ride”, to take place October 10 - 12, 2008. The ride is to Washington, DC, where they will visit the returning wounded warriors at Walter Reed Hospital and the Bethesda Naval Hospital. (more…)
Welcome to one of The American Legion Post 353 Fund Raising sites.
We will try to list each fund raiser in time so that the public will be able to participate and have pleanty of time to either volunteer or attend the special fund raiser.
Each Event is filled with fun and the mission is Fund Raising.
We are excited about the “American Legion Idol” Contest / Benefit. Lots of interest and we are sure to have fun with this Event.
We are still looking for Sponsorship for these Events. We can offer TV Credits and support, but we do need the Public to pitch in to help. If you know of someone that could be of help, pass the website their way. Ask them to help show our Troops that we do love them and will stand by them now and even when they return home.
The American Legion Post 353 has no budget for these sort of events (American Legion Idol for example), so the volunteers who have graciously given so much of their time and efforts would love to see the public come out to support this noble effort to show their Patriotism and help in any small way. By spreading the word, would mean so much. Someone out there has a son or daughter fighting for our Freedom and would love to know that there is an Organization that does so much for the Vets from all Wars.
